Environment

  • SolarWinds Mail Assure
    • Incoming

Solution

  1. Log into MailAssure control panel.
  2. In General select Domains Overview
  3. Select the domain by clicking on the domain name
  4. In Incoming - Protection Settings select Blacklist filtering rules/Whitelist filtering rules
  5. Select Add rule
  6. Give the rule a name in "Rule name" field
  7. Select dropdown arrow for "Match" field and select Message body
  8. In second dropdown field, select contains
  9.  Copy and paste a foreign character to be blacklisted/whitelisted in last field on the right
  10. Select Save
  • NOTE: if Advanced Filtering Rules are enabled, the above steps will not be available.
    • Advanced Filtering Rules can be disabled by following these steps:
  1. Navigate to My settings and select User's profile
  2. Under Use advanced custom filtering rules select Inactive
  3. Select Save
  • Once Advanced Filtering Rules are disabled, simple blacklist/whitelist filtering rules will be visible and configurable.
